Tim Mohan Car Accident, Pennsylvania, A Former LMSD Staff Member Has Died – Death

Tim Mohan Car Accident, Pennsylvania –¬†Tragically, a car accident on Tuesday night claimed the life of Tim Mohan, a beloved LMSD staff member and longtime teacher at Bala Cynwyd Middle School. My heart is heavy as I write to break this terrible news to you. Oh, I’m sorry that this happened to you. Mr. Mohan was an exemplary husband and father throughout his thirty years of service at BCMS. Instruction in social studies was another area in which he delighted in working with his pupils. His lengthy tenure as the school’s Director of Athletics and Activities is an interesting aside in and of itself.

According to BCMS principal Jeffrey Hunter, “Mr. Mohan was a pillar of the BC Community who loved and cared for his students throughout his entire career.” ” Mohan had a lot of faith in the people of British Columbia. Throughout the entire school year, from 1993 to the present day, he has been seen smiling and greeting students in the hallway every single day. In his classroom, he piqued his students’ interest in American history by telling them stories and making them feel silly. His rapport with his students was effortless.

In addition, you could make out his voice singing the BC Alma Mater, though he was far from flawless and occasionally lost the melody during the entire show. He epitomized the ideal middle school teacher and set a high standard for the profession. Colleagues and students of Mr. Mohan are struggling to cope with the situation as a result of the unexpected and devastating news. Mr. Hunter of Bala Cynwyd and Ms. Stout of Black Rock met with their staffs this morning before school started so that the information could be made public.

Many of the present employees of BRMS were previously employed by BCMS. Members of our Student Services team informed the BCMS student body of the situation. Staff and students at Bala Cynwyd and Black Rock Middle Schools have access to mental health professionals all day long and in the future as well. They can also reach out to the crisis support team that is a part of the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. Parents and guardians of Mr. Mohan’s students are encouraged to discuss his sudden death with their children in a way that is most comfortable for them.

I am in a unique position to advocate for this discussion. In order to help the kids here understand and process some tough information, our school counseling team has provided some tools. While the Mohan family goes through this unbearably tough time, please accept our sincerest condolences. On this matter, I can say with absolute certainty that every single person in our community concurs with me. We will accommodate the family’s request to share more information with our school community if they make it known to us.
