Death: Gary Woodard Obituary –¬†Gary S. Woodard, a citizen of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. At the time of his passing, he had reached the age of 63 years old. The designation of Silver Fox was bestowed upon Gary as a consequence of his unflinching dedication to the job that he does with the Moorhead American Legion. Throughout his time with the group, Gary was a devoted member. He took tremendous delight in the fact that he was a member of the Honor Flight, which was an acknowledgment of his devotion to the United States of America.

He was a genuine American patriot. Furthermore, he was a golf aficionado who played at the Moorhead Country Club, where he was credited with two holes in one. He was given credit for both of these accomplishments. He was a skilled golfer in every way. Gail, Gary’s brother, and Gary had a close relationship with each other, and the two of them would frequently go to the hunting cabin together to participate in activities such as hunting deer, seeing animals, or simply speaking and enjoying time together. When he spoke, he never failed to convey the sincerity of his words, despite the fact that he was a man who was modest and very soft-spoken.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Woodward; children, Diana (Richard) Johnson, Sandra (Kevin) Christianson, Susan (Craig) Berndt, and Scott (Karen) Woodward; step-children, Staci (David) Birrenkott and Matthew (Stefanie) Ellison; grandchildren, Joe Christianson, Alex (Johanna) Christianson, Sam Christianson, Tom Christianson, Tyler (Melissa) Woodward, Michael (Laura) Woodward, Robert (Veronica) Woodward, Cathrine (Shane) Gilbertson, Carrie (Jamie) Christensen, Stephen (Mandy) Johnson, and Jordan Berndt; step-grandchildren, Christopher Birrenkott, Joshua Birrenkott, Drew Birrenkott, Beckett Ellison, and Landyn Ellison; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Woodward; and many other loving relatives and friends. His parents, Fred and Gladys Woodward, as well as his brother, Gail Woodward, passed away before him. He was the last surviving member of his family.
