Death: Nancy Rivera Obituary – Nancy Rivera, 37, died on March 26, 2024. She was born in the Mayfair Neighborhood on March 13, 1987. She attended Calumet College of St. Josephs and Lane Tech High School to finish her schooling. Nancy worked for the City of Chicago. Nancy Rivera was well known for her constant kindness and readiness to help anyone who needed it. He served in the local soup kitchen with unwavering dedication, changing the lives of many people who were hungry and homeless in the process. Her selfless acts served as an example for others in our community, inspiring them to follow their footsteps.

Nancy prioritized the rest of his household and treasured every moment she spent with them, in addition to his charitable endeavors. She made sure that every Sunday supper and family outing became a treasured experience that would be passed down through the generations with his painstaking attention to detail and unflinching commitment. Her professionalism, sense of humor, and unfailing support made everyone around him happy and left a lasting impression on his friends and family.

Apart from acting as a devoted wife and mother, Nancy dedicated herself wholeheartedly to his work at the local hardware shop for almost forty years. Both her coworkers and clients held her in the highest regard and appreciated his extraordinary work ethic, steadfast integrity, and unrelenting dedication to providing excellent customer service. She was well-liked by the community since she approached every work with a high degree of professionalism and a cheerful outlook.

Nancy Rivera’s wife, kids, grandkids, extended family, and friends are all very saddened by her departure. Despite our sadness at his loss, we take comfort in the knowledge that those who were fortunate enough to know him will always remember him for his kindness and compassion. As we say goodbye to Alfred, may his memory always shine brightly in our lives.

On April 2, 2024, there will be a memorial service at St. Mark’s Cathedral in honor of Alfred. For over forty years, he was a devoted member of the cathedral. At precisely 10:00 AM, the service will start. Following that, there will be a procession to Evergreen Memorial Gardens for the funeral. We are honored to invite friends, family, and community members to celebrate and honor Nancy Rivera’s exceptional life.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home will be open for visitation on April 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This will provide an opportunity for people who knew Nancy to get together, reminisce, give condolences, and find solace in each other’s company during this trying time.
