Death: Steven Vinsant Obituary –  The passing of Steven Lee Vinsant, who resided in Jacksboro and was 66 years old at the time of his death, occurred on Sunday, March 31, 2024. He departed from his post as Regional Director in the Tennessee Department of Labor after having served the state of Tennessee for a total of 42 years. This was his retirement after he had already retired. He was a regular attendee of the LaFollette Church of Christ, which was his place of worship.

In addition to receiving his degree from Tusculum University, he also attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for his education. His grandparents, Frank and Mable Vinsant, as well as Lee and Bessie Sharp, passed away before him. The funeral home will be located at the intersection of Cross Street and Campbell Street. The funeral service will be attended by the following individuals: Mark and Kray Vinsant, Eric Weaver, Don Burden, Luke Longmire, and Jeff Price. They will act as pallbearers.
