Death: Douglas Harris Obituary –¬†Without experiencing any additional pain, Douglas W. Harris, who had spent his whole life in Hamilton and had reached the age of 72, died away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. He had lived in Hamilton his entire life. In the year 1951, on July 27th, Doug Harris was born in the city of Hamilton, which is located in the state of Ohio. Those who raised him were his parents, John Harris and Emma (Thompson) Harris. To have been born without them would have been impossible.

While serving in the United States Air Force, he was stationed in Thailand, and it was during his time there that he became acquainted with El (Enmark) Harris. He was stationed in Thailand. Doug enjoyed participating in a wide range of activities in addition to being a devoted sports enthusiast and a supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers at the same time. Participating in activities such as fishing, playing cards, listening to music, going to auto shows, and seeing films in black and white were among examples of these hobbies.

After he retired from the City of Hamilton, he started going to Gina’s Italian Restaurant on a regular basis. As he did so, he was joined by a significant number of his closest friends. It was for many years that he continued to be a regular there. The Monkeys Mutual Aid Society and the AMVETS Post 1983 veterans union were both organizations that he consistently participated in throughout his entire life. At one point in time, Doug was considered a member of both of the groups.

His children, Angela (Greg) Martin, Patricia (Scott) Gibbons, April (Kirk) Risen, and James (Kim) Harris, as well as their mother, El Harris, as well as fifteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a sister, Shirley (Alan) Hulett, a brother, Lonnie (Kaye) Harris, a sister-in-law, Wanda Harris, a best friend and brother from another mother, Dick (Karen) Herzog, and a large number of other family members and devoted friends are among those who are left behind after Doug’s passing. When Doug was born, all of his relatives had already passed away.

This included his parents, his stepmother Mae Harris, his brother Charlie Harris, his brother-in-law Donald Byrd, and his sister-in-law Davene Harris. Douglas was the only child of his family. Doug was the only member of his immediate family to have survived, and he was the only one left.
