Dan M. Shaffer Obituary, Clearfield, PA, (1956 – 2024) – Death Notice And Visitation

Death: Dan Shaffer Obituary – Daniel M. Shaffer, who had lived in Indianapolis all his life and were 68 years old at the time of his death on February 3, 2024, passed away. Fort Wayne, Indiana was the location of his birth on January 30, 1956. His parents, Robert Lee Shaffer and Alberta Cordelia (Devine) Shaffer, both passed away before his birth. It is now too late for his parents to be alive. In spite of the fact that Daniel served his country with distinction in the United States Marine Corps, he was honored with the Rifle Marksman Badge in addition to the National Defense Service Medal for his valorous service.

Throughout the course of his life, Daniel may be described as a variety of aspects. He worked in a wide range of industries, from injection molding at Plastines and EMS to real estate sales at Carpenter Realty. His responsibilities included a number of tasks. The breadth and depth of his experiences did not disappoint. The firms that he worked for during his final years of employment as a truck driver were Crete, Shaffer Trucking, and Keenan Advantage. He was employed by all three of these organizations. After that, he moved on to work at Keenan Advantage as a diesel technician, and he held that role until his retirement in 2018.

Having said that, he did, in fact, spend a brief amount of time working as a part-time dump truck driver on a construction site, where his stepdaughter Amanda functioned as his foreman. In 2018, she took her retirement. As a proud member of The Patriot Guard, he assisted in carrying deceased service members to the area where they would be laid to rest. He was a part of the Patriot Guard. Daniel enjoyed spending his spare time singing, playing the drums, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his cat, Dewey.

He also enjoyed spending time with his cat. In addition, he was looking forward to taking his family on exciting excursions, such as going fishing, camping, or simply visiting new areas, especially historical sites. He was excited about these opportunities. Through the use of YouTube, he was able to perform repairs on a wide variety of different things. He established a connection with us in a number of different ways, such as teaching us how to drive, making sure that we were aware of how to handle our finances, and even educating us on our background and family history so that we could learn about it together.

He taught us the skills that we would require in order to be better parents and to raise his grandchildren. He did this so that we might be better parents. Before he was born, his parents, who were mentioned earlier, as well as his sister Donna and his sister Birdie, all perished away. Those who are left behind by Daniel include his wife, Sandra Shaffer; his son, Jacob Shaffer (and his wife Amanda); his son, Daniel Shaffer II; his stepdaughter, Amanda Farmer (and her husband Kyle); his stepson, Matthew Hanson (and his wife Caitlynn); his grandchildren.

Jakobi, Elijah, Lillie, Kane, Bishop, Randy, Trent, Jamie, and Levi; his siblings, Eva Hanley, Bob Shaffer, Billy Shaffer, Becky Shaffer, Darlene West-Heir, Steve West, and Tony West; and a large number of nieces, nephews, and friends who have been with him throughout his life. The Avon Community Church of God, which can be found at 2309 N. Dan Jones Road, Avon, Indiana 46123, will be the location of a Celebration of Life that will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. For the cremation, the arrangements are handled by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis, which is the firm that handles the arrangements.
