For twenty years, until his passing on June 22, 1970, Madeline Crawford and Oliver E. Crawford, Sr. were lucky enough to have a partnership that lasted for twenty years. They tied the knot on February 8, 1950, and they remained married for a total of twenty years after their wedding. For a considerable amount of her life, Madeline was devoted to the responsibility of taking care of her family.

She held the belief that the most essential aspect of her life was to ensure that they were well taken care of and that she was able to provide for them. She discovered that being a mother and a grandma provided her with an unending supply of contentment and fulfillment throughout her life. She was a member of the Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Harrisburg, and she went there to worship whenever she needed to. Some of the individuals who are able to carry on Madeline’s legacy after her dying include her daughters Katherine C. Hook and Leah C. Pomone, as well as her sons Oliver E. (Caroline) Crawford, Jr., Stephen W. Crawford, and Joseph A. Crawford.

Madeline’s legacy will be carried on by these individuals. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Tierney and Nicolo Pomone, who are among those who will carry on her legacy. Her husband and her parents, as well as her sisters Mary Crawford and Catherine Bixler, and her brothers Joseph, John, William, Francis, Edward, and Frederick Drummer, all passed away before her. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Another member of her family had already passed away before she did. The Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated for her on Tuesday, April 19, 2024 at 11:30 AM will take place at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, which is situated at 2121 North Third Street in Harrisburg.
