Carolyn Titzer Obituary – Carolyn C. (Elpers) Titzer died on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was 80 years old and had lived in Evansville, Indiana. Carolyn Elpers was born on October 29, 1943, in the city of Evansville, Michigan. Sylverius Elpers, Sr. and Valeria (Rexing) had both died before their daughter was born. Her grandfather was also called Sylverius. She worked as a manager at the Subway restaurant in Deaconess Hospital. Carolyn was a committed member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for her entire life, with a strong devotion to service.

Whenever she had any free time, she would go to the YMCA and get some exercise. Carolyn loves watching baseball and NASCAR the most. It was typical for her to observe both of them. She was happiest when she could spend time with the people she cared about. Despite the fact that her death will be felt deeply, she will be remembered for the rest of time. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Harold Titzer of Evansville, IN, and sons Jeffery Titzer (Rachel) of Lynnville.

IN and Kevin Titzer (Amy Rhodes) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Rosemary Blaze (David) and Barbara “Barb” Jean Spear (Bob); brothers, Flavien Elpers (Kathy), Eugene Elpers (Earlene) and Sylverius Elpers, Jr. all of Evansville, IN; grandson, Hayden Titzer; step grandchildren, Tanner Rupple (Erin Reinbrecht), Madison Dossett (John, Jr.), Kaya Arnold and Alora Arnold; and by step great grandson, John Henry III. Carolyn’s parents and sister, Debbie Givens, all died when she was a little child. Debbie Givens passed away as well. Carolyn, too, was left without a sibling to look after.

A memorial ceremony will be held at the Browning Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The funeral home is located at 738 Diamond Avenue in Evansville, Indiana 47711, and anyone interested is welcome to attend. A memorial service will be held to honor Carolyn’s life. Father Jason Gries will preside over the upcoming gathering. The burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, following the end of the service. Visitation will be held at the Browning Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Visitation will take place at the funeral home. There will be another visitation at the funeral home on Thursday, April 4, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and lasting until the time of the service. The visiting will last till the time of the service.
