Bryce Buchanan Obituary Logan, Utah, (2024) – Death Notice And Visitation

Death: Bryce Buchanan Obituary – Bryce Buchanan, who resided in Logan, Utah, passed away not too long ago. After graduating from Weber High School in 1984, Bryce demonstrated his remarkable intelligence and enormous passion for athletics by obtaining a full-ride scholarship to Brigham Young University and winning letters in football, basketball, and track and field. Bryce served an LDS mission in Recife, Brazil, after graduating from high school. During his time there, he became fluent in Portuguese and developed a passion for helping others. He had a lot of wonderful stories to tell about the things he had experienced and the friends he had made while he was living in Brazil.

Following the completion of his mission, Bryce went on to attend Brigham Young University, where he reestablished contact with Kimberli Anne Kellett, a friend from his high school days. After that, on August 12, 1988, they tied the knot in the Salt Lake City Temple, and they went on to have a marriage that lasted for 34 glorious years. Tyler, Brendan, Garrett, and Brianna are the names of the four sons and one daughter that Bryce and Kim have enjoyed the blessing of having.

At the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Bryce earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, a Master of Applied Science degree in information systems consulting, and a Master of Business Administration degree. However, he ultimately made the decision to concentrate on a career in accounting, despite the fact that he had attempted to acquire a legal degree and had even finished the LSAT. After only ten short years of working at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bryce was able to rapidly advance his career and become an audit partner.

He did this by climbing the corporate ladder. During the course of his career with PwC, he worked at offices located in Phoenix, Philadelphia, Seoul (Korea), San Jose, and lastly Salt Lake City finally. In addition to serving on the boards of directors of the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce, the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea, the BYU Marriott School of Management School of Accounting Advisory Board, and the Entrepreneur’s Forum of Greater Philadelphia, Bryce was a certified public accountant (CPA) in the states of Arizona, California, and Utah. Bryce took early retirement from PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2017, at the age of 51, after having worked there for 27 years.

Bryce’s family was his first and foremost love. His wife, children, and three grandkids were the objects of his affection, and he demonstrated time and again that there was nothing he would not do for either of them. His favorite things to do with them were to spend time with them, to take them on adventures, and to observe all of their achievements. Some of Bryce’s proudest moments were when his son Tyler graduated Summa Cum Laude in Computer Science; when his son Brendan decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and pursue a career in accounting and also blessed him with two grandsons; when his daughter Brianna sang in choir performances and competed in drill and dance competitions; and when his son Garrett excelled in various sports and earned a college football scholarship. It was one of the times that made him the most proud of himself when he finally triumphed in the “Daddy Drill Down” tournament, which he had been trained by his daughter. It is with great pride that he displays his prize in his home.

Reading, sporting activities, snowmobiling, UTV excursions in the mountains, sailing, repairing computers, and tinkering with any device he could find were just some of the many things that Bryce enjoyed doing in his spare time. When he was younger, he would often claim that after he retired, he would either like to be a bookmobile driver or the proprietor of a small engine repair business. He was a prankster who enjoyed making fun of his family and friends from time to time. His wife and family were frequently taken by surprise on vacations to places such as Morocco, Croatia, Greece, France, Italy, and Disneyland. He had a passion for traveling at the time. During the time of his departure, he had even scheduled a trip to West Yellowstone for his family to go snowmobiling.

Bryce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who was both active and committed to the organization. His passion for assisting and serving others led him to take on a variety of positions, including Branch President in Seoul, Korea, Young Men’s President, Stake Finance Clerk, Ward Clerk, and a considerable number of other positions. Bryce devoted a significant portion of his spare time to coaching baseball, basketball, and football for the small league programs.

Over the course of many years, he served as a volunteer on the district board and as an executive board member for the Ute Conference Little League Football organization. He was an essential contributor to the organization’s reorganization efforts. In addition, he contributed a significant amount of his time and business knowledge over the course of many years, providing consultation and assistance to some of the most brilliant brains and most successful firms in Utah.

His devoted wife Kimberli, his children Tyler, Brendan (Julia DeMott), Brianna, and Garrett, his grandchildren Cosette, Somerled, and Oisin, his brother David Buchanan, and his sisters Janice Buchanan and Marianne (Max) Barker are among those who are left behind after Bryce’s passing. His parents, Hayle and Melva Buchanan, passed away before him. He follows in their footsteps.

April 9, 2024, at eleven o’clock in the morning, funeral services will be performed at the West Bountiful 8th Ward Chapel, which is located at 311 North 800 West in West Bountiful, Arizona. On Thursday evening, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and on Friday morning, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., there will be a viewing conducted at the church.
