Death: Michael Callan Obituary – Michael “Mike” Callan, age 82, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died away in a peaceful manner on February 3, 2024. He was a devoted educator, loving father, cherished grandfather, and adored brother and cousin. He left behind a legacy of warmth, wisdom, and steadfast devotion. Michael was a proud alumni of Atlantic City High School, where he graduated with the class of 1959. He was born in Atlantic City in 1941.

In 1963, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Glassboro State College, where he pursued his interest in literature. Mike, who possessed a sharp brain and a kind heart, devoted his life to molding the minds of young people while working as an English teacher at Toms River High School South. He was able to motivate many students with his enthusiasm for the English language and literature.

Family was the source of Mike’s greatest happiness in life. Michael and Devon, his sons, as well as Debbie, his daughter-in-law, and Kristen, his daughter-in-law-to-be, are among those who are left behind after his passing.
