Death: James Folsom Obituary – As of March 6, 2024, James Michael (Mike) Folsom, who resided in Lilburn, Georgia, passed away. In addition to his other names, Mike and Beeper, James Michael Folsom was born and raised in Forsyth, Georgia. He pursued his high school education at Mary Persons. Both the Farmington baseball team and the Greyhound’s ski team were among the teams that he participated in while he was in high school.

Later on, he competed for the United States National Team at Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where he demonstrated his expertise in alpine, cross country, and jumping athletes. Later on, he became the proprietor of Emery’s Fashions and Ski Shop in Farmington, where he was able to combine his love of skiing with his naturally outgoing personality. No one was unfamiliar to him, and he was always ready for having a good time.

In addition to being able to construct or repair everything that could possibly be imagined, he perpetually kept a cheerful attitude, had a passion for gardening, and had an amazing laugh. In 1988, he was introduced to Sarah, the woman who would become the love of his life. They tied the knot and began their family together after the wedding. After obtaining his Master’s Plumbing License, he established his own plumbing business, Mike Folsom Plumbing, where he provided plumbing services to a large number of families in the Lilburn area.

He had the deepest love for his family and made it his life’s mission to provide them with the absolute best that life has to offer. He coached girls fastpitch softball at Lion’s Club Park for a significant amount of time before retiring. He had a deep affection for each and every one of his players and their families. As soon as his daughters reached adulthood, he started coaching with the Special Olympics, where he gained a lot of connections that would last a lifetime. He had a passion for performing music, fishing, and camping, as well as vacationing.

One of his favorite things to do was to accompany his friends to the racing track and work on race cars together. He was always willing to assist others, and he will be missed by a substantial number of individuals. Mike is survived by his mother, Linda Faye Rowlett, his wife, Sarah, his daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda Major (Matt Mikolaitis), Courtney Whitley (Dennis), and Cayla Lambert (Michael), his son, Jonathan Marshall, his grandchildren, Brooks Whitley, Bennett Whitley, and Charlotte Lambert, his sister, Amanda Bledsoe, and a large number of nieces and nephews.

Sunday, March 9, 2024, at three o’clock in the afternoon, the funeral will take place at the Lilburn/Tucker Chapel of the Bill Head Funeral Home, with Pastor James Chapman serving as the officiant. At the Lilburn/Tucker Chapel of the Bill Head Funeral Home, the family will be present to greet friends on Friday from 6 to 8 o’clock and on Saturday from 1 to 3 o’clock.
